Product benefits

1. Smooth and absolutely noiseless dimming is achieved by switch-DIM. Dimming without dimmer!
2. Up to 10 MULTIPOINT transformers can be parallel connected and controlled from one single pulse switch.
3. In parallel connection module, the MULTIPOINT transformers can be synchronized by dimming all the MULTIPOINT transformers to about 50% of max. brightness, and push the switch On/Off for 2 cycles with min. 3 seconds intervals.
4. The MULTIPOINT transformers can handle up to 20 meters long output wire of 2.5mm2 without EMC disturbance and voltage drop / power loss. This gives MULTIPOINT the possibility to locate the transformer outside of down light box, and hence eliminates the thermal risks (the temperature in normal down light box is so hot, >75 C, far above the rated Ta of all other transformers available in the market, and as a consequence, the lifespan of transformers is greatly jeopardized, and early failure often occurs.)

Question: How is the switch-DIM functioning?

Answer: Unlike the ordinary trailing edge or leading edge dimming method, MULTIPOINT transformers achieve the switch-DIM dimming solution by adjusting the frequency of the wave. In the process of dimming, the waves are still in complete shape, only the wave value changes. That is why the MULTIPOINT transformer doesn't generate harmonic disturbance and mechanical noise.

Question: Why there is no requirement on the polarization of the switch-dim wire input, and no limitation of the wire length?

Answer: The electronic switch circuit triggers the dimmer function, this switch circuit demands very little voltage and current, therefore there is no limitation on the wire length at the switch-dim input terminal.

In the MULTIPOINT circuitry, the electronic switch can always obtain the voltage to trigger the dimmer circuit, no matter the switch-dim input terminal is connected to "N" (neutral) or "L" (live).
